1. Who is responsible

Takehome (takehomecalc.app) is an independent site operated by Jose Manuel Gómez, independent developer, registered as autónomo in spain. The data controller for the purposes of the GDPR is:

These details are published in compliance with Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE), art. 10, and GDPR art. 13.

Because the operator is established in the European Union, this site follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for all visitors, regardless of where you are.

2. What we collect

Data you enter into the calculator: none of it

Salary, filing status and pay frequency are processed locally in your browser and discarded when you close the page. We never receive them.

Server and security logs

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data needed to deliver the page and protect it from abuse: your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and a timestamp. We use this only for security and reliability. Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Aggregated analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are useful. It is cookieless, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not track you across sites. It produces aggregate counts only; we cannot identify you from it. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

Advertising

We may display advertising served by Google AdSense. When advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may set cookies or similar identifiers to show and measure ads, including personalised ads based on your prior browsing. We do not control those cookies and we never share your calculator inputs with advertisers, because we do not have them.

Where consent is legally required (the EEA, UK and Switzerland), advertising cookies are only set after you consent through the consent banner, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Legal basis: consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can review and change Google's ad personalisation at Google My Ad Center.

3. Cookies

The site itself sets no cookies for analytics or tracking. The only cookies that may appear are those set by Google AdSense once advertising is enabled, and only with your consent where required. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies at any time.

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We use these processors:

• Cloudflare: hosting, delivery, security and cookieless analytics
• Google: advertising (AdSense) and Search Console, which reports aggregate search statistics

5. International transfers

These providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Such transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

6. Retention

We hold no personal database. Technical logs are retained by our hosting provider for a short period for security purposes and then deleted. Analytics data is aggregate and not linked to you.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. In practice, because we hold no account or profile about you, there is usually nothing for us to retrieve or delete, but you can always write to hello@takehomecalc.app and we will respond within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Spain this is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).

California residents

Under the CCPA/CPRA you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to delete it, and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing". We do not sell personal information. Where advertising is enabled, the use of advertising cookies may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising; you may opt out through the consent controls or your browser's Global Privacy Control signal, which we honour.

8. Children

This site is a general-audience tool aimed at working adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as the site changes, for example when advertising is switched on. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
